On 23rd July, 2026 : The 72nd foundation day of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh ( BMS ), was observed at Geological Survey of India. The BMS leaders from the units of Indian Museum, Zoological Survey of India and Geological Survey of India were present on the occassion. The MLA's and Ministers of Bharatiya Janata Party expressed their opinions and honoured by BMS leadership. Minister Shankar Ghosh praised BMS for their dedication and efforts amongst odds. Ex-BMS President and now MLA from Haldia Pradip Bijali was also present.
The program was followed by health checkup camp, where BMS members participated. After the change of power in West Bengal, the declining unions of Left and TMC gave way to the BMS. This can be seen in the recently held GSI Recreation Club election where Indrarup Raychaudhury defeated the Leftist lobby and emerged victorious.
The BMS WB State Vice-President Sanjay Shaw, State Secy Pranab Dutta, HOD GSI CHQ Promod kr Singh, and Nabin Mishra, BMS President of the Indian Museum were present.
Among the MLA's present were Dinesh Sarkar from Rajganj, Sikha Chatterjee from Dabgram-phulbari, Shukla Chatterjee from Bishnupur, Shankar Ghosh from Siliguri, Sarbari Mukherjee from Jadavpur, Sabitri Barman from Sitalkuchi, Naresh Ray from Dhupguri, Dalim Ray from Moynaguri and others.
